Partner
chris@vsattorneys.com

After graduating from the University of Georgia and Georgia State University College of Law, Chris continued his education and received an advanced law degree in taxation from Southern Methodist University, which is consistently ranked one of the best schools to study tax law. After receiving his masters in taxation, Chris returned to Georgia where he practiced with a boutique firm in Atlanta representing individuals and corporations in a variety of business and tax transactions. Chris joined Van Sant Law, LLC as a partner in 2010 with a goal to provide quality tax, estate planning and business advice to individuals in north Georgia.

Chris represents individuals in all aspects of estate planning, including will, trusts and estates. Chris also spends a lot of his time with business owners advising them on asset protection techniques and tools teaching them how to protect their personal assets to ensure that they pass seamlessly to heirs and beneficiaries of their choice, rather than creditors. In addition, Chris represents clients in the preparation, as well as litigation, of business documents including non-compete agreements, non-solicitation agreements, employment contracts, lease agreements and franchise agreements.

Chris resides in Woodstock with his wife and two children. Chris is active in the community and enjoys golf and Georgia football.
