Practice Areas
Civil and Commercial Litigation
We engage in litigation on a regular basis in many areas of the law. We represent individuals, businesses and insurers in matters ranging from tort actions to complex commercial litigation matters.
Real Property Litigation
We represent clients in matters involving real estate disputes, including commercial lease disputes, title insurance claims, property tax appeals, design/construction defect cases, boundary line disputes and condemnation matters. We also represent clients in the negotiation of leases and resolution of disputes between landlords, tenants and their respective assignees and privies.
Creditors' Rights and Commercial Collections
We assist businesses with the collection of commercial debts. Within guidelines established by the client, we are often able to work out favorable payment plans with debtors, saving our client's time and money. If the initial measures are unsuccessful, we file lawsuits to collect unresolved debts.
Land Use & Zoning
We represent clients in land use and zoning issues before local boards, such as planning commissions and zoning appeal boards, as well as in the state and federal courts when needed. The firm also helps clients negotiate the regulations that govern the use of private property.
Subrogation
We represent health care plans and their recovery agents in connection with the recovery of benefits provided to members. We have specialized knowledge regarding the preemptive impact of ERISA on state laws which limit subrogation rights. We also handle a variety of subrogation claims for property and casualty carriers.
